Holens Gammelgård

Old timber farm and local museum with wide views over Lake Siljan.

Holens Gammelgård is the strongest single stop in Tällberg: an old timber farmstead associated with the artist and architect Gustaf Ankarcrona, set high enough above the village for broad views over Lake Siljan. The buildings date across several centuries and show the rural Dalarna style in a more grounded way than a souvenir shop can.

Guided visits are usually by arrangement, so check ahead if the interior matters to you. Even from outside, the farm and its setting make a good anchor for a village walk.
