Baselgia San Geer, Scuol's Reformed church of Saint George, stands on a ledge above the Inn River. The building itself is plain in the Protestant Engadine way, but the setting gives it real presence.
Come while wandering the old village rather than treating it as a separate expedition. The church, the painted houses, and the drop to the river together explain the shape of Scuol better than any viewpoint outside town.
