Märjelensee is a small lake near the glacier side of the Aletsch Arena, reached on hiking routes between Eggishorn and Fiescheralp. The appeal is not the lake alone, but the way the walk moves through raw moraine, alpine grass, and open views of the Aletsch Glacier.
The classic route from Eggishorn via Märjelensee to Fiescheralp is a moderate mountain hike rather than a village stroll. Check snow and lift conditions before setting out, especially early or late in the season.
