Spirstock Summit

The Spirstock (1,826 m) is the high point easily reached on foot from the chairlift system at Hoch-Ybrig. From the top, the view opens out over the lake-studded plateau of central Switzerland to the north, with the jagged silhouette of the Mythen — the two distinctive pre-Alpine peaks above Schwyz — directly in front of you. To the south, the higher Alps stretch away into Glarus and Uri.

In winter the area around the Spirstock forms part of the ski circuit and is served by a chairlift from Seebli. In summer, reaching the summit requires a short hike from the lift top station — roughly 20 minutes of walking. The ridge path continues from here along the Panoramawanderweg.

A story
The Spirstock sits on the boundary between Unteriberg and Oberiberg — two villages that have historically taken turns administering the shared resort, a co-management arrangement still in place today.
