Sherlock Holmes Museum

Small museum recreating Holmes's Baker Street room in a former English church.

The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a small, affectionate stop in a former English church near the centre of Meiringen. Its main set piece is a recreation of the Baker Street sitting room as described in the stories, backed by displays about Conan Doyle, Holmes, Moriarty, and the Reichenbach Falls episode.

It is not a large museum, but it gives a neat focus to the town's literary fame before or after visiting the falls.
