Nyon sits in a prime position on Lac Léman with the Jura foothills rising behind it, so there is no shortage of day trip options. Cross the lake to the medieval village of Yvoire by CGN boat in twenty minutes, or walk Le Sentier des Toblerones — a seventeen-kilometre trail following WWII anti-tank barriers from the lakeshore up into the hills above Nyon. Closer to town, the Château de Prangins is a short walk along the lakeshore.
