The Basilian Monastery is a quieter remnant of Uman's older religious landscape. It does not compete with Sofiyivka or the pilgrimage quarter, but it helps show that the city has Polish, Catholic, Jewish, Ukrainian, and imperial layers rather than one simple story.
Treat it as a contextual stop while walking the centre, not as a destination that justifies a detour on its own.
