Dereham Windmill is a restored 19th-century mill just outside the town centre. It now works as a small museum, with displays on milling and enough grounds to make it a relaxed stop rather than a quick photo.
It is not open every day. Pair it with the railway or Bishop Bonner's Cottage rather than building the whole trip around it.
