The Mid-Norfolk Railway is Dereham's most substantial visitor draw. Heritage trains run from Dereham toward Wymondham on selected days, using a restored station and a line that cuts through quiet central Norfolk.
Check the timetable before coming, since the railway is event-led rather than a commuter service. When trains are running, it gives Dereham a proper reason to be more than a quick market-town stop.
