The Dog and Pheasant is the village pub at East Mersea — a low-key country local serving food and ales, popular with walkers coming off the Cudmore Grove path. It sits in the quieter eastern half of the island, well away from the crowds at the waterfront, and has a garden for sunny days. Good for a pint and a meal before or after exploring East Mersea.
