Nene Valley Railway

The Nene Valley Railway runs heritage trains west from Peterborough along the river corridor toward Wansford. Its city terminus is close enough to the centre to make it one of Peterborough's easiest non-cathedral attractions.

Check operating days carefully, because heritage railways do not run like commuter services. When trains are operating, the line is a relaxed way to see a greener side of the city and link Peterborough with the Nene Park landscape.
