The South Bank Lion is a handsome Coade stone lion on Westminster Bridge, just above the busy riverside walk. It once stood on the roof of the Red Lion Brewery before the brewery was cleared for the Royal Festival Hall, so it is a small survivor of an older South Bank.
It is not a destination by itself, but it is worth noticing while crossing between Westminster and the South Bank. The white lion has enough odd history to make a better pause than most bridge statues.
