The Dukes is Lancaster's main independent theatre and cinema, with new drama, touring shows, film screenings and exhibitions in a compact city-centre venue. It is a useful evening stop when you want something more local than a multiplex.
In summer, the theatre is also known for outdoor productions, which give Lancaster's parks and historic spaces a starring role.
