The Whitgift Almshouses form a compact Tudor courtyard in central Croydon. They still serve as sheltered flats for older residents, so the appeal is mainly the exterior and courtyard setting rather than a museum visit, but the buildings are one of Croydon's clearer surviving links with its early modern past.
