The waterfront development just south of the dockyard, built in 2001 on the site of the demolished naval ordnance works. The pedestrianised quays string together outlet shops, restaurants, bars, a multiplex cinema, a casino, and the Spinnaker Tower above it all.
It is not historic — almost everything is new — but the boardwalk along the harbour is a pleasant place to stroll in the evening with views of the warships across the water. The Hard Interchange (railway station and bus station) is a short walk; the Gosport ferry runs from the same point.
