Slough Museum

Slough Museum is a small independent museum in the town centre covering local history from prehistoric times to the present. The collection includes material on the famous Slough Trading Estate — the industrial site that transformed Slough's economy in the twentieth century — as well as the Herschel astronomy connection, the town's wartime role, and its history of immigration and multicultural development.

It is a modestly sized museum but punches above its weight on the Herschel material. The museum runs temporary exhibitions and is generally free or low admission. Check opening hours in advance as they vary by season.
