Spa Valley Railway

The Spa Valley Railway runs heritage steam and diesel trains over five and a half miles of preserved track between Tunbridge Wells West, High Rocks, Groombridge and Eridge. The line was originally part of the Brighton, Lewes and Tunbridge Wells Railway, closed by Beeching in the 1960s, and reopened by volunteers in 1996.

The Eridge terminus connects to the modern Southern Railway network, so it is possible to make a loop journey by heritage train one way and modern train the other. Special events run through the year — beer festivals, Santa specials in December, 1940s weekends — and the journey through the Wealden landscape is the main attraction.
