Minack Theatre is one of Cornwall's great set pieces: an open-air theatre built by hand into the cliffs above the Atlantic. Rowena Cade began carving and shaping the site in the 1930s, and the result still feels improbable, with terraces, stage, sea, and sky all part of the same view.
You can visit outside performance times for the theatre and small museum, but the best experience is to see a show here. Bring warm clothing even in summer; the setting is exposed and the weather has a vote.
