The oldest museum in Devon, founded in 1844, Torquay Museum holds collections on local archaeology, natural history, and the history of the English Riviera. The finds from Kent's Cavern are well represented here, giving useful context to a visit to the caves themselves. There is also a substantial section devoted to Agatha Christie — Torquay's most famous daughter — with photographs, manuscripts, and personal effects.
