The Star and Garter on The Parade is one of Leamington's most attractive pub dining rooms, occupying a large Regency townhouse that has barely changed since it was built. The menu runs to solid British pub food — pies, roasts on Sundays, fish and chips — executed reliably well. The interior has the high ceilings and big windows typical of the era.
It can get crowded on weekends, particularly in the evenings. The beer selection is better than average and includes local ales from the Warwickshire brewing scene. A good option if you want something unfussy in pleasant surroundings.
