Bridlington Priory is the town's strongest historic building, a large medieval church that survived after the rest of the Augustinian priory disappeared. It sits away from the seafront in the old town, which gives a useful contrast to the harbour and amusements.
The scale is the surprise. Step inside for the nave and stonework, then walk the surrounding streets to see the older Bridlington that predates the resort.
