Goathland Station

Goathland Station is a stop on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, the preserved steam line that crosses the national park between Pickering and Whitby. It is a small heritage station with the right mix of moorland setting, old railway detail, and practical usefulness for walkers.

Film fans know it as the stand-in for Hogsmeade station in the Harry Potter films. Even without that connection, it is worth a pause if you are riding the railway or walking around Goathland.
