Castle Roy

Castle Roy is the ruined stump of a 12th-century Clan Comyn fortress near Nethy Bridge. It stands on a glacial mound with open views, simple stone walls, and Highland cattle often grazing nearby.

It is not a grand castle visit. It is better than that for some people: quiet, old, exposed, and easy to pair with a Spey valley drive.
