Caibeal Mheamhair, the Chapel of Remembrance, is the MacLaine mausoleum hidden near the east shore of Loch Buie. The chapel is medieval in origin and was converted into a family mausoleum in the 19th century, with old tombstones and a quiet walled graveyard.
It is the sort of place that makes Lochbuie worth the detour: modest, half-concealed, and full of local memory. The walk from Moy Castle crosses open ground, so treat it as part of the glen rather than a quick roadside stop.
