Laggan Sands is the broad, quiet beach east of Moy Castle, backed by hills and rough grazing land. It is not a resort beach; it is a place for a long look across Loch Buie, a picnic out of the wind if you are lucky, and patient wildlife spotting.
Seals are often seen offshore, and the cliffs and open ground around the bay are good places to scan for Mull's birds of prey. The walk from the main Lochbuie parking area is easy enough, but the distance is just enough to keep the beach peaceful.
