Clickimin Broch is an Iron Age stone tower complex on the edge of Clickimin Loch, a short walk from central Lerwick. It has the thick-walled, circular presence that makes brochs so distinct: part dwelling, part stronghold, and part mystery.
The site was occupied in several phases over more than a thousand years. That depth is the point. In Lerwick you can move from ferry terminal to prehistoric Shetland in under half an hour on foot.
