Castle Sinclair Girnigoe is the stronger of Wick's two castle outings. The ruins combine the late-medieval Castle Girnigoe with the later Castle Sinclair, both set on a cliff edge above the North Sea.
It is a short walk from the Noss Head road car park, with the lighthouse nearby and sea views in almost every direction. The ruins are fragile, but the setting does most of the work.
