Blorenge

Flat-topped mountain above Llanfoist, with big views and industrial tramroad history.

Blorenge rises south of Abergavenny and gives a different kind of walk from Sugar Loaf: broader, more open, and tied to the old industrial landscape around Blaenavon. The mountain is part of the same upland rim that makes the town feel surrounded.

Walkers come for the view over Abergavenny, the Usk valley, and the Black Mountains. The old tramroad lines and quarries add a useful layer: this is not just pretty upland, but a landscape shaped by iron, coal, and canal traffic.
