Three Bridges

Three road bridges from different eras stacked over the Mynach gorge.

The three bridges sit almost directly above one another, turning a practical river crossing into a strange little timeline of Welsh road building. The lowest bridge is usually described as medieval, the middle one dates from the early 18th century, and the upper bridge carries the modern road.

It is a quick sight, but a good one. Look over the parapet before or after walking the falls, then cross to see how tightly the bridges, gorge, and village fit together.
