Getting There

Fishguard is served by Fishguard Harbour railway station, which sits at the ferry terminal at Goodwick rather than in the town itself. Trains run from London Paddington via Cardiff and Swansea — the journey takes around 4.5 to 5 hours. There is also a station at Fishguard and Goodwick, slightly closer to town, served by the same line.

The Irish Ferries and Stena Line services to Rosslare (County Wexford, Ireland) depart from Fishguard Harbour. Crossings take around 3.5 hours. If you are arriving by ferry from Ireland, the connection to the London train can be direct. By car, Fishguard is on the A40, which runs east to Haverfordwest, Carmarthen, and the M4 motorway; the drive from Cardiff takes about 2.5 hours.
