Ynys Lochtyn is a small grass-topped headland island north of Llangrannog, joined to the coast by a narrow neck of land. The walk there is the best reason to linger in the village: cliffs, open sea, folded coves, and wide views along Cardigan Bay.
You do not need to walk far to make it worthwhile. The Wales Coast Path section around Llangrannog is one of the most dramatic pieces of the Ceredigion shore, and Ynys Lochtyn is the neat turning point for a short outing.
