Llangrannog is a small seaside village on the Ceredigion coast, tucked into a steep-sided valley where two streams reach the beach. It is not a town of grand sights. Its pull is simpler: a sandy cove, a second beach reached at low tide, cliffs rising on both sides, and a coast path that gives you the full Cardigan Bay view within minutes of leaving the village.
The beach is split visually by Carreg Bica, a tooth-shaped sea stack with a local giant legend attached to it. Around the headlands, the Wales Coast Path leads toward Ynys Lochtyn, one of the prettiest short walks on this part of the coast. In good weather the sea can look almost Mediterranean; in rough weather the same cliffs make it feel very Welsh indeed.
Come for a half day from Aberystwyth, Cardigan, or the wider Ceredigion coast. Llangrannog earns its place because the beach, the rock, and the cliff walking are all in one compact, memorable pocket.
