Padarn Country Park spreads around Llyn Padarn beside Llanberis, mixing lakeside scenery with the industrial remains of the slate quarrying landscape. Paths lead through woodland, viewpoints, old inclines, and open ground with views toward the mountains.
It is one of the easiest ways to enjoy Llanberis without committing to Snowdon itself. Combine it with the National Slate Museum, Dolbadarn Castle, or a lakeside picnic, and you get a compact introduction to both the natural and industrial sides of Eryri.
