Pete's Eats

Pete's Eats is the unofficial headquarters of the Llanberis climbing and walking community. The cafe occupies a large, permanently warm building in the centre of the village and has been serving enormous portions of hot food to walkers, climbers, and mountaineers since the 1970s. The notice board inside is a reliable source of local route information, weather opinions, and the kind of advice you only get from people who actually climb here.

The menu is straightforward: big breakfasts, burgers, soups, and plenty of hot drinks. The portions are calibrated for people who have spent six hours on a mountain. It stays open longer than most places in the village, and on bad weather days it fills up with people waiting to see if the cloud lifts. There is no better place in Llanberis to get warm, get fed, and plan your next move.
