The bright blue lifeboat station, jutting out into the sea at the southern end of the harbour, is one of the busiest RNLI stations in Wales. The all-weather boat is on permanent standby for the coast and shipping lanes around Carmarthen Bay. Visitors can climb to the upper level when the station is open, see the Shannon-class lifeboat in its bay, and read the displays on rescues going back to the 19th century.
Free to visit, with a donation box on the way out. Open most days from spring through autumn; check the small sign at the entrance for the day's hours.
