Getting There

Cat Island is served by two small airports: New Bight Airport in the centre of the island and Arthur's Town Airport in the north. Bahamasair operates scheduled flights from Nassau to both, and the journey is around 45 minutes. Flights are not frequent — typically a few times a week — so check schedules carefully before planning your trip.

There is no ferry service from Nassau. A few mail boats connect Cat Island to Nassau and other Bahamian islands on irregular schedules, but the journey takes many hours and is not reliable for holiday planning. Flying is the practical option for most visitors.
