Staniel Cay has a 700-metre paved airstrip with daily charter and scheduled flights from Nassau (about 30 minutes) and occasional flights from Fort Lauderdale. Makers Air, Flamingo Air and Watermakers Air all serve it; book ahead in season.
Mailboats from Nassau call once a week — slow, cheap and an experience in its own right. By private yacht, Staniel is about 65 nautical miles south of Highbourne Cay and 50 north of George Town. The harbour has moorings but no marina; the Yacht Club rents skiffs to visiting boats.
