Things to Do

Anegada is essentially three things: beaches, reef, and wildlife. The north shore has miles of empty white sand — Loblolly Bay and Cow Wreck Beach are the best stretches. The Horseshoe Reef that rings the island is one of the largest barrier reefs in the Caribbean, excellent for snorkelling and diving. At the western end, flamingos and the native rock iguana inhabit the salt ponds.

Bring snorkelling gear — it can be rented on the island but supply is limited. Water taxis and dive operators run trips out to the reef from The Settlement.
