Kicking Horse Mountain Resort brought a surprisingly good dining scene to this small mountain town. Eagle's Eye, at 2,350 metres, is Canada's highest full-service restaurant — the views are spectacular and the dinner menu is genuinely excellent. Cedar House Café sits on a hillside south of town overlooking the Columbia River wetlands and is worth the short drive. In town, The Kicking Horse Grill and The Turning Point are local favourites.
