Gilpin Grasslands Provincial Park

Gilpin Grasslands Provincial Park protects a dry grassland landscape along the Kettle River, a contrast to the forested country around much of the Boundary region. Trails cross open slopes and river flats, with chances for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, canoeing, and summer swimming.

The park is a low-key outdoor stop near Grand Forks, best for travellers who want a short walk, a river break, or a look at one of British Columbia's less common grassland ecosystems.
