Kawkawa Creek is one of Hope's easier places to watch salmon pushing upstream. It is a small, quiet stop rather than a grand wilderness outing, but in autumn the creek can be full of movement when the run is active.
Come for a short look rather than a long walk. The appeal is seasonal, so it is most worthwhile when salmon are spawning and the water is busy.
