The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is the main architectural landmark in Edmundston's centre. Its value is partly visual and partly cultural: this is a strongly Francophone Catholic corner of New Brunswick, and the church makes that identity visible.
It is worth a short stop while walking the riverfront and downtown streets, especially if you are tracing the city's Brayon character.
