Moncton sits within easy reach of some of Atlantic Canada's best day-trip destinations. Hopewell Rocks, with its sea-eroded "flowerpot" formations exposed at low tide, is about 45 minutes south. Cape Enrage and the Fundy Trail Parkway are an hour or so further along the coast. Shediac, the lobster town with its giant roadside crustacean statue, is 20 minutes north. Bouctouche and the Kouchibouguac National Park stretch the day out to the north.
