Downtown Moncton is a compact, walkable strip of restaurants, cafes, pubs, and a few boutiques running for several blocks along Main Street between Lutz Street and the river. It is the most pleasant part of the city to spend an evening, particularly in summer when the patios spill onto the sidewalks.
The riverside Riverwalk follows the Petitcodiac for a couple of kilometres, with Bore Park at its midpoint. Most visitors end up walking the same loop: a drink on Main Street, a meal somewhere along the strip, and then down to the river to watch the bore roll in.
