Most visitors drive from Deer Lake, the nearest airport, which is about 30 to 45 minutes from the park boundary and roughly an hour from Rocky Harbour. Rental cars are strongly recommended; public transport is too thin for flexible park travel.
If you arrive in Newfoundland by ferry at Port aux Basques, the drive north to Gros Morne takes about three and a half hours in good conditions. Watch for moose, especially near dawn and dusk.
