Shallow Bay near Cow Head is one of the park's best beach stops, with pale sand, dunes, and room to breathe. The water is chilly, but the place is lovely for walking and sunset.
It is a useful northern counterweight to the mountain and fjord sights. If you are staying near Cow Head, do not skip it just because it sounds gentle.
