Everything at L'Anse aux Meadows centres on the Norse settlement and the wild Newfoundland landscape surrounding it. There is no nightlife, no shopping strip, and no crowds — just open bog, cold salt air, and one of the most historically charged sites on the continent. Plan on a full day at minimum, and bring layers.
