Sandy Pond is Terra Nova's friendly freshwater stop, with a beach, picnic areas, and calm water for swimming or paddling in summer. It is the park at its most relaxed.
Families like it because the access is simple and the water is sheltered. Outside warm weather, it still makes an easy walk-and-picnic pause.
