Haliburton is roughly a three-hour drive northeast of Toronto — Highway 401 to 115 to 35, then east on 118 from Minden. There is no train service and only a limited regional bus from Toronto via Lindsay; in practice you need a car to get here and to do anything once you arrive. The nearest sizeable airport is Toronto Pearson; Peterborough is closer for charter flights but not commercial.
