The Huntsville Festival of the Arts runs for two weeks in July and August and is one of the more serious arts events in cottage country. It brings chamber music, jazz, and classical concerts to venues around town — including outdoor performances beside the waterfront — and has attracted internationally recognised performers since it began in the 1990s.
The festival doubles as a music education programme, with master classes and youth workshops running alongside public concerts. Tickets for headline concerts sell out well in advance during peak summer weeks. Smaller events and open rehearsals are often free. If you are passing through in late July, it is worth checking the schedule — there is usually something running on a given evening.
